
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu today emphasised the importance of being proficient in one’s mother tongue and said children should also learn Hindi.
Addressing a function of a private University at Kattankolathur in Kancheepuram District of Tamilnadu, Mr Naidu said, nobody should force any language on anybody.
However, sharing his personal experience, the vice President said, that though one could do well in their respective states by being proficient in their mother tongue, but for a national level role, Hindi should be learnt.
