Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has said, there is an urgent need to re-think about the existing governance paradigm of the country.
Inaugurating the 12th Civil Services Day event in New Delhi, Mr Naidu said, the essential gap today is between the grandiose conception and the ground level implementation.
He said, there is a need for honest introspection into effectiveness and efficiency of the administrative structures and processes. Mr Naidu called for collectively transforming India into a nation that all can be proud of.
On the second day of the event tomorrow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will confer the awards for excellence in Public Administration for effective implementation of identified priority programs and innovation to districts units and other Central and State organisations. He will also address the Civil Servants on the occasion.
