Three soldiers martyred in two separate incidents in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, three soldiers have been martyred in two separate incidents. Two Army men have martyred and three others injured in an ongoing encounter in Awneora area of Shopian district. A senior police spokesman informed that the anti terrorist operation was launched last evening and is still continuing. However, no terrorist has been killed yet in the encounter so far. Reports suggest that around five terrorists are holed up in the area.

An Army jawan was martyred as Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control in the Poonch sector last evening. Defence spokesperson Lt. Col. Manish Mehta said, the Pakistani army resorted to unprovoked firing on the Indian Army posts at around 5 PM in Krishna Ghati sector. Indian Army retaliated the firing and gave befitting reply.
