In Jammu & Kashmir, one terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Sopore township of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district today.
The slain militant has been identified as local Hizbul Mujahideen commander Shahid Sheikh of kachloo Qazi Abad Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The gunfight which started at around 3 am in the village, has ended. Reports said the residential house in which the militant was trapped was damaged during the gunfight.
