Commerce and Industries Minister Suresh Prabhu has been assigned the additional charge of the Civil Aviation Ministry.
The post had fallen vacant after President Ram Nath Kovind accepted the resignation of Telugu Desam Party’s Ashok Gajapathi Raju.
Mr. Raju and his party colleague YS Chowdary resigned from the council of ministers after party supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu decided to pull out the party’s ministers from the government demanding special category status for the state.
