
Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said states and the Centre have to work jointly to provide skill training to a large number of people especially youth.
Speaking at National Conference of State Ministers on Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in New Delhi, Mr Pradhan said, government, through its several programmes and initiatives, is giving skill training to the youths.
The Minister said there is a need to open large number skill training centres across the country to meet the growing demand of skilled professionals. He said the states have to coordinate with the Centre in this regard.
Mr Pradhan said two thousand job-melas will be organised in every district this year. He said his ministry is also ready to incorporate suggestions to improve programmes for skilled people.
