
Textiles Minister Smriti Irani today inaugurated the 44th edition of Indian Handicrafts and Gifts (IHGF)-Delhi Fair at India Expo Centre and Mart on the outskirts of Delhi in Greater Noida.
Speaking on the occasion Mrs Irani said, that from the implementation of GST throughout corrective measures that are undertaken, the textile ministry has had very productive engagements through which it has managed to provide a lot of ground support and legal and procedural, support to the industry. She said it is a good example of government and industry coming together for the prosperity of artisans.
The B2B IHGF Fair will be open till 16th of this month showcasing nearly three thousand exhibitors under 14 product categories. One hundred countries including the US, the UK, Russia, France, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan and Korea are participating in the fair. Organised by Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) the five-day fair is the biggest platform in the National Capital Region for the promotion of handicrafts business.
