The sale of Janaushadhi medicines crossed 150 crore rupees in the last seven months. Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya said in New Delhi yesterday that this has resulted in a total saving of almost 600 crore rupees to benefit the commoners.

These medicines are cheaper by 50 to 90 per cent as compared to the branded ones. Mr Mandaviya said by the end of the current fiscal, the total number of Janaushadhi stores in the country will be 5000 with annual sales crossing 300 crores rupees.
