On the last date for withdrawal of nominations for the presidential elections, NDA Nominee Ramnath Kovind and opposition candidate Meira kumar have been left in the fray. Polling for the top constitutional post will be held on 17th of this month. Counting of votes will take place on 20th July.
The President is elected by an electoral college comprising elected members of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and State Legislative assemblies including assemblies of Union Territories of Delhi and Puducherry.
