Rajnath Singh takes stock of security situation in J&K

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today took stock of the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of terror attack on Amarnath Yatris at a high level meeting in New Delhi.

The meeting was attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, IB director, RAW chief and Home Ministry officials. Mr Singh has directed officials to ensure foolproof security to the pilgrims.

He has also asked the authorities to ensure proper treatment of the injured yatris. Mr Singh said, the Ministry is closely monitoring the situation.

Seven Amarnath pilgrims including six women were killed and 19 injured in a terror attack in Anantnag district of Kashmir valley last night.
