President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted people on the occasion of Vaisakhi.
In his message, President Pranab Mukherjee said, Vaisakhi celebrates the sweat and toil of the farmers who bring good harvests and happiness to the homes of the people. He called on people to show gratitude to Mother Earth on this day and pledge to protect nature for its best blessings on people’s lives.
He also urged people to share happiness with one and all on this happy occasion, especially those who are in need. The President asked people to resolve to re-double the efforts to contribute to the nation’s prosperity, unity and fraternity.
