Physicist Satyendra Nath Bose made important contributions in the 1920s to the field of quantum physics that changed how particle physics has been studied ever since. He is best known for his work on quantum mechanics which provided the foundation for Bose-Einstein statistics and the theory of the Bose-Einstein condensate.
