
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said, potential, policy, planning and performance leads to progress. After inaugurating the UP Investors Summit in Lucknow, Mr Modi said, Uttar Pradesh has a potential to become the growth engine of the country.
The Prime Minister said, no red tape but a red carpet is being provided for businessmen in the state.
The Prime Minister said the Centre’s initiative like Skill India and the Start up India will give power back up for the One-District-One-Product scheme of the UP government.
He also said, the MSME sector is having best employment opportunities for the agriculture sector. Mr Modi said, Uttar Pradesh has a potential to generate revenue from Agriculture By-Products and Agriculture Waste.
The Prime Minister also said that infrastructure and tourism sector is being strengthened in the state. He said Defence Industrial Corridor will be expanded in Agra-Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Aligarh and Chitrakoot to ensure the development of Bundelkhand.
Mr Modi termed holding of the investor’s summit and congregation of industrialists from all over as a sign of a big change. He said the Yogi government has overcome the previous negativity and shown a ray of hope to people with positive changes. The Prime Minister also said competitive federalism should prevail in the country.
In his address, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, the state government is devoting significant efforts towards improving the business atmosphere. He said, his government wants to create systems where traditional and modern industries can grow and create opportunities for the state’s youth.
The grand investors gathering is being attended by around 5,000 people, including top industry leaders from India and abroad, ministers, policy makers and academicians. A total of 30 sessions are planned for the two-day summit.

Union Textile and information& broacasting Minister Smriti Irani would also chair a session in evening. Business leaders from Mauritius, Japan, The Netherlands, Finland, Czech Republic, Thailand and Slovakia are also here to participate in state government flagship event.
