Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured Arecanut growers of Karnataka that the government will provide all necessary assistance to them.

Addressing an election rally at Shimoga, today, he said, all pending railway projects in the state will also be completed.

Mr. Modi accused Congress of colluding with communal elements like PFI and SIMI for the purpose of pleasing a community. He said Congress leaders are hand in glove with sand mafia and bribe mafia.

He charged that Congress and Corruption are synonymous. He alleged that Congress leaders amassed wealth in their five years rule.

Without naming Congress candidate, he said, the affidavit filed by him as the candidate in this election shows that his assets grew from 75 crore rupees in 2008 to 800 crore rupees now.

He also charged that two Congress leaders involved in illegal mining are given ticket once again. Addressing a rally in Gadag earlier, he accused Congress party of politicising Mahadayi drinking water project, that could have been amicably settled through negotiation.

He alleged that Congress President Sonia Gandhi had opposed the Mahadayi drinking water project during Goa election in 2007 and it was the Congress that took the issue to a tribunal.

He blamed Congress for inciting people in Karnataka over the issue. Saying that money is paramount for Congress, the Prime Minister noted that funds were channelized from the state to the party headquarters.

Addressing a rally in Mangaluru, Mr. Modi said, Congress that once ruled from Panchayat to Parliament is reduced to a few states due to the ego of its leaders.

He said that for Congress only one family is everything, but for him, 125 crore Indians are his family. Mr. Modi said, the Congress is opposing bill against Triple talaq for vote politics.
