In Jammu and Kashmir, in yet another incidence of ceasefire violation, Pakistan army again resorted to mortar shelling and firing along Line of Control (LoC) in Bhimber Gali sector of Rajouri district today targeting forward defence locations and civilian population.
The shelling prompted an effective retaliation from the Indian troops. Defence sources told media that Pakistani troops started unprovoked shelling in the area around 4 am Intermittent exchanges were continuing when last reports came in. There is no report of any casualties or damage on the Indian side so far. Pakistani forces used small, medium and automatic arms and heavy mortars in firing.
