NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant on Tuesday said that NITI Aayog is working towards doubling farmers’ income by 2022.
Briefing media on the achievements of NITI Aayog in the past four years, Mr Kant said the NITI Aayog has set up Technical Support Unit for Poshan Abhiyan and recently released Water Management Index.
Mr Kant said innovation got a major boost via Atal Tinkering labs and NITI Aayog is targeting 30,000 Atal Labs by 2022.
Speaking on the occasion, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajeev Kumar exuded confidence that 8 to 9 per cent growth will be achieved next year.
He also informed that tax base in the country has also increased in the recent past, which is a good sign.
