
NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant has emphasised on the use of technology to further improve ease of doing business in the country. Speaking at an event in New Delhi this morning, Mr Kant said, the world economy is facing financial turbulence and down trend, but Indian economy is still performing well.
Mr Kant, however, said India has to make structural changes to meet global economic challenges. He said India and China remain major drivers of world economy. The NITI Aayog CEO said, India is becoming a centre of manufacturing and an integral part of the global supply chain.
Mr Kant said, FDI has grown by 62 per cent in recent times. He said, digital payments have grown substantially in the country which is a good sign for the country’s economy.
