Jharkhand government has decided to close all illegal slaughter houses within next 72 hours. The Principal Secretary for Home S K G Rahate has instructed all Deputy Commissioners, SSP, Municipalities and other local bodies to issue notices to all illegal slaughter houses of their areas to closed down in next 72 hrs otherwise action will be taken against them.
A government press release says this decision was taken in the interest of public health.
