
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said Japan and its PM Shinzo Abe are friends and perfect partners of India. Speaking at the India-Japan Annual Summit in Gandhi nagar, Mr. Modi said, four locations have been finalized for development of Japanese Industrial Townships in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
He said, Japan can benefit tremendously with the size and scale of India’s potential and skilled hands. Mr. Modi said the growing convergence between Japan and India on strategic and economic issues has capacity to stimulate the global economy.
Saying that Asia has emerged as the new centre of global growth, the Prime Minister reiterated that 21st Century is Asia’s Century. He also invited Japanese people and companies to come, live and work in India.
In the speech, Mr Modi also said, when he first visited Japan as a Chief Minister, he wanted to see a mini Japan in Gujarat and today the dream has come true as number of Japanese companies working in Gujarat have constantly increased.
