Union minister for Road transport, highway and shipping Nitin Gadkari said there is huge potential lies in the use of geo synthetic in development of road and ports in the country and calls upon the private sector to come forward with Innovative proposals in this field. However the minister stressed that the innovation and technology must be of high quality and economically viable compared to the existing options.
The minister was addressing a seminar on Exploring growth potential of technical textile for building India organisef as part of the Textile India 2017 Mega summit at Mahatma Mandir Gandhinagar.
Reiterating the commitment of his government towards rapid infrastructure development in the country, the minister said his ministry is working hard to change the risk resilient environment in the bureaucracy.
