Govt says Rs 1500 crore to be spent to develop NH in Andaman & Nicobar Islands

Government says, 1500 crore rupees will be spent to develop the National Highway in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Chemicals & Fertilizers Mansukh Mandviya said this in Port Blair yesterday.
He said, 232 kilometres of the National Highway will be developed in the Islands. Mr Mandviya is on a three-day visit to Union territory.

The Minister also said that Jetty in Havelock Island will be developed as the State of Art Jetty to make it more attractive to the tourists.
