Govt has opened more than 9000 PMKK so far: Rajnath


Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that government has so far opened more than nine thousand Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra to impart skill training to youth.

Inaugurating one such a Centre at Mandir Marg in New Delhi, Mr Singh said, government has earmarked 12 hundred crore rupees so that youth belonging to economically weaker section could be trained in skill training. He said, government has set a target of generating one crore employment opportunities for youth by 2020. He said, active involvement of private sector is needed to achieve this ambitious target.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development to enable a large number of youth to take up industry – relevant skill training to make them employable.
