FM to cover more than 60% areas of country by 2020: Rajyavardhan Rathore

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Col Rajyavardhan Rathore has said that more than 60 per cent areas of the country will be covered by FM radio by 2020.

Inaugurating 1 kW FM transmitter of All India Radio Kota, he said his ministry is working for this. Col Rathore said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has chosen All India Radio for his Mann ki Baat programme because it cover around 99 percent areas of the country.

He said the government is working on two way communication with public to get better feedback and it helped the government to prepare and implement the policies.

Earlier, Col Rathore participated in Sankalp Se Siddhi New India campaign in a educational institute in Kota where he administrated new India pledge to the students. He appealed to the students to stand up against terrorism, communalism, casteism, corruption and poverty. In a another programme, the Minister planted a sapling and appealed to the students to plant more saplings for better environment.
