EAM Sushma Swaraj to chair interactive session on Act East Policy

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will chair an Interactive Session on the Act East Policy in New Delhi today.

Following the successful ASEAN India Commemorative Summit hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25th of January, this meeting will further underscore his vision of keeping the Northeast at the heart of India’s Act East Policy and the ongoing engagement with the ASEAN.

Chief Ministers of the eight North Eastern States have been invited to attend this meeting.

Senior officials from the Ministries of Road Transport and Highways, Commerce and Industry, Civil Aviation, Home Affairs and External Affairs, will also attend the meeting to provide a comprehensive policy view.
