CM yogi voices his support for Uniform civil code

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has voiced his support for Uniform Civil Code in the country. Speaking at a book launch ceremony in Lucknow today, he said that if matters regarding marriage and crimes are same in the country, then why should people not employ a Uniform Civil Code in the country.

The chief minister also pointed fingers at those who have remained quiet on the triple talaq issue and said they are equally guilty. He was speaking at a function where a book on former Prime Minister late Chandra Shekhar was released.

Mr Adityanath said that Chandra Shekhar ji had always supported the issue of Uniform Civil Code.
