Information Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has said that the Centre is organising digidhan melas across the country to create awareness among the general public on the use of cashless transactions through internet. After inaugurating the mela in Nellore yesterday he said it is the aim of the Centre to make the society free of corruption and black money.
Digidhan melas are being organised in the country from 25th December 2016 in which bankers, service providers and various welfare departments are taking an active part by putting up their stalls providing the know-how of using various apps and downloading them to people for carrying out cashless transactions. People who have performed cashless transactions since its launch were selected and given away lucky grahak, and digi vyapar puraskars on the occasion.
