
The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI has summoned former Railway Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son Tejashwi in the alleged IRCTC hotels scam. Mr Yadav has been asked to appear on Monday and his son the next day for questioning by the agency.
On 5th July, CBI has registered a case in connection with irregularities in awarding the tender for maintenance of IRCTC hotels in Ranchi and Puri against Mr Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, son Tejashwi, Vijay and Vinay Kochar, both directors of M/S Sujata Hotels Pvt Ltd and the then IRCTC managing director P.K. Goel, Lalu’s confidante Prem Chand Gupta, Sarla Gupta and others. The agency had also raided 12 locations linked to Lalu and his family members including in Patna, New Delhi, Ranchi and Gurgaon.
