CBI has summoned former Finance Minister P Chidambaram to appear before it on 6th of this month in INX media case.
He will be questioned in connection with alleged irregularities in the clearance of foreign investment in INX media.
The Congress leader was called yesterday for the questioning in the case but he sought another date to comply with the CBI notice.
Yesterday, Delhi High Court had granted Mr. Chidambaram interim protection from arrest till 3rd of July in the case.
His alleged role has come under the scanner of investigating agencies in connection with the Foreign Investment Promotion Board clearance of 305 crore rupees given to INX media during UPA rule.
Mr. Chidambaram’s son Karti Chidambaram was also arrested in the case.
