
CBI has arrested eight people in connection with the fake recruitment in Railways. The agency said, the accused were engaged in duping people by providing them fictitious training at Charbagh Railway station in Lucknow.
The accused were also using a fake website in the name of Railway Recruitment Control Board and they followed a set procedure similar to one followed by Government recruitment agencies. The accused lured candidates mainly from Rajasthan and other states in the name of offering jobs of Group C and D in Railways and other government organisations. The agency said, the racketeers have taken 3 to 5 lakh rupees from each of the candidate to ensure selection in the Railways.
Searches were conducted at the premises of accused persons at eight locations in Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Sonepat and Agra which led to recovery of several incriminating documents, mobile phones, Bank cards, and cash.
