BJP today said it is exploring legal option over Election Commission’s decision to reject the two votes of Congress MLAs who had cross voted in the Gujarat Rajya Sabha polls and later allegedly shown their ballets to unauthorized persons.
Talking to reporters outside Parliament, party leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said he does not want to comment on poll panel but the nation wants to know under what circumstances such a decision was taken.
He also took a dig at the Congress saying the opposition party should introspect why its candidate somehow managed to win.
Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Kapil Sibbal alleged that the BJP tried its level best to defeat Ahmad Patel but of no use. He said at the end, the truth has won. JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav also described the victory of Ahmad Patel as victory of truth. Echoing same view, Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agrawal said truth cannot be defeated in a democracy.
