The Allahabad High Court is likely to decide the appeal of dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar serving a life term at Dasna jail for murdering their daughter, Arushi and domestic help Hemraj. Both were murdered on May 15, 2008 at Noida in Gautam Buddhanagar district.
A division bench of the High Court, comprising justices BK Narayana and AK Mishra, had reserved its judgement on September 7. It has fixed today as the date for the verdict. In their appeal, they have blamed the CBI for shoddy investigations and challenged their conviction. The couple were awarded life sentence by a special CBI court in Ghaziabad on November 26, 2013
