Army troops today foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, and killed an intruder. A Defence sources averred that suspicious movement was observed in Keri sector along the Line of Control early today.
The troops guarding the borderline spotted the intruder and challenged him. The intruder opened fire on the troops which were retaliated effectively. In the exchange of fire, the intruder was killed. The body of the slain intruder has been handed over to local police. The identity of the intruder who is said to be a Pakistan national is being ascertained.
