Army expresses concern over youth joining terror groups; says terrorists trying softer targets out of frustration

The Army has expressed concern over youth joining terror groups and said, there is a need to address this trend.

General Officer Commander-in-Chief, Northern Command, Lieutenant General Devraj Anbu said, anyone who picks up an arm and is against the state, is a terrorist and the Army will deal with them.He said, the enemy is frustrated and is trying softer targets and when they fail at borders, they attack on camps.

The Lieutenant General also said, social media is responsible for increase in terror activities as it is engaging the youth at a large scale. He said, there is a need to focus on this issue.

Lieutenant General Anbu also said, the security forces are capable enough to deal with any terrorist threat at the border as well as the hinterland.
