Amit Shah terms launch of health assurance scheme by PM as historic

BJP President Amit Shah has termed the launch of health assurance scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as historic.

In a tweet, Mr Shah said, the government has given the poor the right to live with dignity with its various schemes.

He said, the poor people are at the centre of the Modi government’s projects, which has also launched a scheme to provide them homes besides offering other facilities.

Mr Shah said, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana -Ayushman Bharat scheme is the world’s biggest health assurance cover, benefiting 50 crore people.

He said, beneficiary will get quality health care with free treatment costing Rs. 5 lakh.
