Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today inaugurated the Science Express Climate Action Special at Madgaon station through videoconferencing from New Delhi.
The Science Express is an innovative mobile science exhibition of the Department of Science and Technology mounted on a 16-coach AC train.
The objective is to increase awareness on climate change and its mitigation among various sections of society, especially students. Mr Prabhu said, every citizen should shoulder their responsibility for environmental protection.
The train would be stationed at Madgaon till Thursday and proceed to Ratnagiri.
