In Jammu & Kashmir, three unidentified armed terrorists were killed after Army foiled infiltration bid in Nowgam sector along Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Handwara area of Kupwara district today.
As per information received from Defence spokesman, a group of armed terrorists tried to infiltrate into this side from across LoC. After troops challenged the group, the gunfight ensued in which two terrorists were killed in the first round of encounter.
Later, the combing operation led to another gunfight in which another armed terrorist was gunned down. The bodies of the slain militants and a cache of the arms and ammunition was also recovered. Defence sources said, there was no damage on the security forces’ side.
