India is moving to global benchmarks in generating energy: Piyush Goyal

Power Minister Piyush Goyal today said India is moving to global benchmarks in generating energy and consumption has increased in the country.

Speaking at a function in New Delhi, Mr Goyal said government will have no problem to integrate 175 gigawatt of renewable energy into India’s electric grid.

He said a more robust and sustainable future must be given to future generations in terms of power. Saying that renewable energy and its sources have considerable impact, the Minister informed that there will be a mechanism to keep an eye on sources of renewable energy across the country.
