India has described the cutting of diplomatic ties by Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia, with Qatar as internal matter of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said New Delhi is only trying to find out if any of its nationals is adversely impacted due to the development.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, the minister expressed hope that things will get normal within the GCC as such things have happened in the past as well.
There are approximately 6.5 lakh Indians in Qatar, making the largest expatriate community there.
