
Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Sunil Lamba has said that combined efforts of the three defense forces is a must to protect the country. He was speaking after accepting guard of honor at the 132nd Passing out Parade at National Defense Academy in Pune today.
Admiral Lamba said Indian Navy is ready to go upfront and have began expanding. He said that a Permanent Indian Navy Warship has been deployed into the Gulf of Aden and the Atlantic Ocean.
He also said that the Indian Navy also participated in joint practice with the Singapore Navy in the South China Sea and Indian War Ships participated in this exercise has now moved to Australia.
Admiral Sunil Lamba further said that there will be a joint practice with the Australian Navy in the near future.
Cadet V S Saini who was heading the parade received the Presidents gold medal whereas a silver medal was presented to Cadet Sanyam Dwivedi and a bronze medal was awarded to Cadet Akash K R by chief guest Admiral Lamba.
