
In Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow based special CBI court today granted bail to Satish Pradhan one of the accused in Ayodhya disputed structure demolition case. He is the sixth accused in the case.
Special CBI court judge Mr. SK Yadav granted him bail on a surety of 20,000 rupees and a personal bond of the same amount. 5 others including senior VHP leaders named as accused in the case were granted bail on Saturday.
The special CBI court has begun day-to-day hearing of the case on May 20. Mr Pradhan did not appear before the court yesterday and the court had put off the hearing.
The special court is hearing the 1992 Ayodhya disputed structure demolition cases, including the one against BJP leaders L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti.
The Supreme Court had last month transferred their case from Raebareli to Lucknow where another case was on in the matter.
The apex court had on April 19 directed the special court to start proceedings in the matter within a month and deliver its verdict within two years.
