A Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist has been arrested by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) from Sonauli in Uttar Pradesh along the Indo-Nepal border. The SSB said, it apprehended Naseer Ahmed last evening from the Sonauli border post.
It said, he was residing in Pakistan since September 2003 and was involved in many violent attacks against civilians and Security Forces including an attack on the Special Task Force Camp. He was sent to India by his handler for a specific mission.
The Sashastra Seema Bal said, Naseer was trained by the militants operating in Banihal and adjoining area of Jammu and Kashmir. He was involved in terrorist activities in Banihal area of Ramban District along with active group of Hizbul Mujahideen Militants since 2002.
