The Supreme Court has directed the Centre to file a status report on the probe conducted by Enforcement Directorate officer, Rajeshwar Singh in the Aircel-Maxis deal case.

The apex court said yesterday that it should be apprised about the stage of the pending investigation and what needs to be done in it.
Appearing for the CBI, additional Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, sought ten days time to file a summary report in this regard.

The apex court in November last year, had restrained the government from taking any immediate action against Rajeshwar Singh, following some anonymous complaints against him.
