In Jammu and Kashmir, the search operation is underway to trace the Army soldiers who went missing following avalanches in north Kashmir areas yesterday.
Defence spokesman told AIR that the five missing soldiers are yet to be traced out and the rescue teams are working uninterruptedly in difficult mountainous terrains facing hostile weather conditions along LoC. He added that the Special Rescue Teams are engaged in the operations to accomplish the task of getting back the missing soldiers.
About 24 hours ago, three soldiers went missing after snow avalanche hit army post in Kanzalwan Gurez area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district and two more soldiers slipped down the slope in Nowgam Handwara sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
