National Highway 130-D Will Connect Narayanpur-Abujhmarh to Maharashtra

Raipur, October 9
The construction of National Highway 130-D, which connects the Bastar region to Maharashtra, has gained new momentum. The Government of Chhattisgarh has completed the tender process for the construction of the 21.5 km stretch from Kutul to Neelangur (Maharashtra Border). The Public Works Department (PWD) Ministry has instructed the Engineer-in-Chief, National Highway Zone Raipur, to finalize the contract process with the lowest bidding contractor, including all terms and conditions, for the construction of this road. A minimum tender rate of approximately ₹152 crore has been received for the construction of the 21.5 km road, which will be built in three sections, and this has been approved by the Government of Chhattisgarh.
It is noteworthy that Kutul is located in the Abujhmarh area of Narayanpur district, and the distance from Kutul to Neelangur on the Maharashtra border is 21.5 km. This is part of National Highway 130-D. This road will be constructed with a two-lane paved shoulder.
It is notable that NH-130D is a National Highway with a total length of approximately 195 km. It is a spur route of NH-30. It starts from Kondagaon and goes through Narayanpur, Kutul, up to Neelangur (Maharashtra border). Further in Maharashtra, it reaches Alapalli via Bingunda, Lahere, Dhodraj, Bhamragarh, Hema, and Lakasa, where it connects with NH-353D. The development of this route will directly connect the Bastar region to the National Highway network, greatly strengthening trade, tourism, and security.
The approximately 50 km stretch of National Highway 130-D from Kondagaon to Narayanpur is under construction. The distance from Narayanpur to Kutul is 50 km, and from there to Neelangur on the Maharashtra border is 21.5 km. The total length of this National Highway is 195 km, of which approximately 122 km falls within Chhattisgarh state, spanning from Kondagaon-Narayanpur through Kutul to Neelangur. The completion of this road will provide a direct and strong road link between the Bastar region and Maharashtra, facilitating safe and smooth transportation in the Naxal-affected areas.
With the cooperation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Forest Clearance and construction permission have been obtained for the part of this National Highway located in the Abujhmarh area, opening the way for the construction of this ambitious project. National Highway 130-D is not just a road but a path to the progress of the Bastar region. Our government has made continuous efforts to expedite this project. This road will directly benefit the people of Bastar. This road will not only connect Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra but will also play a crucial role in the social and economic development of the Bastar region. This project will prove to be a milestone in accelerating the pace of development in Naxal-affected areas.
