Moment of Pride: President Droupadi Murmu poses for group photo with Chhattisgarh Tribals

Raipur, October 26
President Smt. Droupadi Murmu expressed deep admiration for the lifestyle, food habits, folk dances, music, instruments, arts, customs, festivals, beliefs, and other traditional practices of the tribal communities in Chhattisgarh. A group photograph was taken with the tribals dressed in their traditional attire.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Governor Shri Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Shri Tokhan Sahu, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Labour Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma, Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, and MLAs Shri Khuswant Saheb and Shri Rohit Sahu.
During the programme at Chhattisgarh’s renowned “Purkhauti Muktangan”, President Smt. Murmu was delighted to engage with the tribal communities. She posed for photographs with dance troupes from Surguja, Bastar, and Dantewada, celebrating and enhancing the pride of Chhattisgarh’s tribal society.
Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Director General of Police Shri Ashok Juneja, Principal Secretary of the Tribal Welfare Department Shri Sonamni Bora, Principal Secretary of Culture Shri Anbalgan P., Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri P. Dayanand, Commissioner of Tribal Development Shri Narendra Dugga, and Director of Archaeology and Culture Shri Vivek Acharya were also present on the occassion.
