Minister Jaiswal inspects Durg District Hospital, evaluates health facilities

Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal today inspected the Durg District Hospital. During this time, he extensively inspected all the wards including the OPD, registration counter, male ward, female ward, শিশু ward, delivery ward, and operation theatre. Health Minister Shri Jaiswal discussed the experiences of patients and their families regarding the available health facilities and medical services.
During the inspection, Health Minister Shri Jaiswal also inspected the ICU, Blood Bank, NRC, SNCU, DEIC, and maternity department and gave necessary guidelines to medical officers and doctors. While inspecting the Operation Theatre (OT), he directed to develop it as a model OT. In the same sequence, Health Minister Shri Jaiswal inspected the dialysis unit, observed the condition of the available equipment, and directed to procure the necessary modern equipment. Along with this, he also directed to increase the number of dialysis units for the convenience of patients.
At the end of the inspection, Health Minister Shri Jaiswal observed the store room and directed to keep it more organized. Appreciating the existing facilities of the hospital, he directed the appointment of 5 Medical Officers for the expansion of health services. He also assured to fulfill the demand for doctors and specialists in the obstetrics department soon. In addition, he also inspected the medicine distribution room and reviewed the quality of medicines available to the patients.
On this occasion, Vaishalinagar MLA Shri Rakesh Sen, Ahivara MLA Shri Domanlal Korsewara, MLA Durg Shri Lalit Chandrakar and Gajendra Yadav, Mayor Smt. Alka Baghmare, Director of Health Smt. Padmini Bhoi, Health Secretary Shri Amit Kataria, ADM Shri Arvind Ekka, SDM Shri Harvansh Singh Miri, Chief Medical and Health Officer Durg Dr. Manoj Dani, Civil Surgeon and Co-Hospital Superintendent Durg Shri Hemant Sahu, Dr. OP Verma, and other officers of the concerned departments were present.
