Maoist terror is receding from Bastar, Bastar’s identity is changing-CM Sai

When I was reading the newspaper on the new year, Bastar was in the headlines. These headlines were not about Maoist violence, but about the light of development reaching Bastar. Maoist terror has now receded from Bastar. Bastar’s identity has now changed, said Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
Sai said this while addressing the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of the Bastar District Journalists Association.
He said that Bastar has its own challenges and journalism in this challenging environment is also a challenging task. I bow to all your efforts to present the hopes, ideas, and problems of the common people in Bastar as a mirror to the government and administration.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that as the fourth pillar of democracy, journalists should follow the high ideals of journalism, inform the public about the good work of the government and also point out the shortcomings. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap said that journalists of Bastar have played a significant role in establishing new dimensions of journalism.
In the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai administered the oath to the newly elected office-bearers of the Bastar District Journalists Association and congratulated the office-bearers on assuming the new responsibility and wished them a Happy New Year. In the program, the President of Bastar District Journalists Association, Shri Manish Gupta, gave the welcome address. A large number of journalists including Sports Minister Shri Tankram Verma were present on the occasion.
