Major Decision by Chhattisgarh Government: Recruitment for 700 Posts in Government Colleges

Under the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, the Government of Chhattisgarh has taken a major decision to recruit for various vacant posts in the higher education sector. This move is expected to provide new direction to the education system in the state and address the shortage of faculty in government colleges.
Acting on the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Sai and based on the proposal of the Department of Higher Education, the Finance Department has approved recruitment for 700 posts. This decision brings new hope and opportunities for the youth of the state.
Approval for Recruitment of 625 Assistant Professors
Out of the total approved posts, 625 are for Assistant Professors. Their recruitment is expected to significantly improve the quality of teaching and research in government colleges.
25 Sports Officers to Promote Sports and Physical Education
Approval has also been granted for the recruitment of 25 Sports Officers, who will help strengthen sports and physical education activities in colleges across the state.
Recruitment of 50 Librarians to Strengthen Library Services
Additionally, 50 Librarian posts have been approved. Their appointment will ensure better management of college libraries, allowing students more organized and efficient access to study materials.
This decision will not only create new employment opportunities for the youth of Chhattisgarh but will also enhance the overall academic environment in higher education institutions. With an increased number of qualified teachers and officers, students will benefit from improved guidance and training.

Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Choudhary stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government is prioritizing education. The approval for recruitment in 700 posts in government colleges is a significant decision in this direction. It will not only create jobs but also strengthen Chhattisgarh’s higher education system. The permission granted by the Finance Department will contribute toward making future generations strong and self-reliant.
It is worth noting that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government has been actively pushing forward recruitment across various departments. In the last 21 months, appointments have already been made in several departments such as:
Anganwadi workers and assistants in the Women and Child Development Department
Specialist doctors and medical officers in the Health Department
Hostel superintendents in the Tribal Development Department, among others
Recruitment for 5,000 teacher posts and other positions, as announced by the Chief Minister, is also currently in process.
The state government aims to generate large-scale employment opportunities for youth across sectors including education, healthcare, security, technology, and administrative services.
