Mahtari Vandan Yojana Empowers Women Socially and Economically: Chaudhary

Today, the Mahtari Vandan Sammelan was organized at Padma Shri Govind Ram Nirmalkar Auditorium, Rajnandgaon on the occasion of Janadesh Parva on completion of one year of the state government. Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary was present as the chief guest at the program.
Finance Minister Shri Chaudhary honored the beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana by giving them shawls and shrifal. He honored the girls who performed excellently in the fields of sports, education, and art at the state and national level under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao by giving them a symbol and certificate. In the program, checks were distributed to 4 women self-help groups under the Chhattisgarh Women’s Fund to carry out economic activities. Passbooks were distributed to the beneficiaries under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.
Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is the most important scheme started by the government for women. He said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana was started within three months of the formation of the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo and 70 lakh mothers and sisters are benefiting from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana is promoting social and economic empowerment of women. The amount of Mahtari Vandan Yojana is given for the respect of women. It is a scheme that ensures the respect of women in the family and society. Women are able to meet small needs like children’s education, children’s health, their own health in the house.
He said that women are becoming self-reliant by collecting the amount of the scheme from village to village, street to street, opening sewing machines, parlors, etc. This is the effect of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. He said that the Chhattisgarh Gramin Vikas Bank is starting the Mahtari Shakti Loan Scheme.
He said that the beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana will benefit from the scheme. Under this scheme, they can start their own business by taking a loan of Rs 25,000 without a mortgage.
Finance Minister Chaudhary said that the state government has started the Mahtari Sadan Yojana for mothers. Under the scheme, Mahtari Sadan will be built in every village. Where women can hold their meetings, programs, and training. He asked all women to educate their children well. By educating children, their proper development takes place.
He said that to empower mothers and sisters, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has started the Lakhpati Didi, Drone Didi scheme so that women can be empowered. To make the country a developed nation in the true sense, women will have to be empowered. He said that women’s reservation in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections is promoting the political empowerment of women.
He said that the government is empowering women by making ration cards, housing schemes, and Mahtari Vandan Yojana in the name of women. On this occasion, IG Shri Deepak Jha, Collector Shri Sanjay Agrawal, Superintendent of Police Shri Mohit Garg, a large number of public representatives and women beneficiaries were present.
