In Madhya Pradesh, 11 labourers were killed and over one dozen injured when a pick-up vehicle overturned and fell in a gorge under Chargawan police station area in Jabalpur district late last night. The injured have been admitted in the Jabalpur medical college hospital.
It is reported that these labourers were going to pluck tendu leaves in the vehicle of the forest department. They had come from Maharashtra. Expressing grief over the accident, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced an ex-gratia of one lakh rupees to the relatives of the deceased.
